This tour is conducted in Mukuni or Simoonga Villages of the Toka leya people Mukuni Village was the largest settlement in the area before Livingstone was founded in 1905. It was established away from the then swampy banks of the Zambezi. You will still find many of the art decorates and colonial style buildings still standing. Visiting the villages of Mukuni and Simoonga, a short ride from Livingstone, shows you how people in rural Zambia live. You get in an insight into the daily life; see how traditional clay huts and houses are being built and what work people do to make a living: farming, home industries and commerce.
